We’re excited to have you in our fold! First a little bit about us. We’re a small group of friends that are passionate about wine, food, music, conversation, and gathering to share stories, musings, and experiences. We enjoy exploring the esoteric side of wine and engaging in discussions about it around a well-prepared meal with a background of a good soundtrack.
Here’s what you can expect from our wine club
Two bottles of wine per month (usually one white and one red but occasionally we might throw an oddball in the mix if we find something compelling) thoughtfully selected by our team of wine specialists.
Detailed notes on our wine selections along with food pairing suggestions and recipes that you can make at home.
The occasional music pairing recommendation to help make your imbibement more of an experience.

Our wine club offers two bottles of wine per month diligently selected by Rob Blair and Amanda Sarich, our wine buying team for The Word of Mouth Wine Club and the soon to arrive Serafino, our storefront in Mission Hills.

The wines featured for this club are adventurous selections that represent off the beaten path varietals and regions from around the world with a focus on small family producers with an eye towards sustainable practices. We aim for all our selections to have a sense of place, a story, and to be as intriguing as they are delicious and approachable.

While we aim to have one white and one red selection per month, our overarching goal is to always provide the best wine we can find for the month, regardless of style. This means that sometimes there might be a sparkling, an orange, or a rosé thrown into the mix. We hope that you’ll trust us along this wine adventure.

Included with the wine shipment, we’ll have a detailed newsletter sent out digitally every month that not only includes notes on the featured wines and producers but also recommended food and the occasional music pairing suggestions to enjoy alongside the wines. Additionally, we’ll be sharing news and updates on any happenings that might be in the works for community events as well as progress updates as we work on opening our brick-and-mortar store, Serafino. Underground news, you know first!

The wine club will be priced at $70 per month and includes shipping but does not include sales tax.

The wine club membership will be charged monthly and will be shipped to a home or business address (preferred) within 5-7 business days, but usually quicker if to a local San Diego address. Wine deliveries will require a person 21+ years of age to be able to sign for the package in both instances.

The wine club can be paused or cancelled at any time before the next billing cycle by sending us an email at info@thewordofmouthwineclub.com. Alternatively, if you ever need to change your delivery date or need us to hold your wine for a later shipping date (e.g. if you’re on vacation), please also contact us directly at the above email address.
